116 MB seems excessive for it remaining though.

But the app is a system app and won't go away no matter what. The app as an
app will hold residual data as an app, no matter what accounts you have, so
that won't go away either.

Subject: Mail App Taking up Space even after Deleting Account

Hello, everyone.

After deleting my only mail account, a POP3 Verizon account, the Mail
app is still taking up 116 MB of space on my iPhone 5. Is this some
kind of cached data that cannot be deleted? Granted, this is not a
lot of space, but I'm surprised nevertheless. I'm using an iPhone 5
running iOS 8.1.3.

Thank you for all help.

Craig
