I can also confirm that Siri in iOS 8.1.3 sounds different and sorta board compared to Siri in iOS 8 .1 .2, which is the version I'm running. I texted this by pulling up the exact same Wikipedia article that was used for Neil's recording and listening to the Recording and Siri on my phone reciting the article back to back.
