Hello List,
I like the Reader button at the top left of a Safari page that strips the junk from a page and leaves the text. I was trying tonight to copy that text from a Safari page to a file I could save in an app such as Voice Dream Writer or Notes or any such app so I could pass it to someone via Dropbox. I tried all the options under Share but could not figure out a way to highlight the text and paste it to a document I could save. I know the rotor edit menu option is unavailable unless the onscreen keyboard is present but I wanted to ask here to see if anyone knows a way to do what I'm trying to do. The pinch and expand gesture for selecting text worked about as well as it always does for me which is to say not at all. Also, the copy option under the Share button only copies the page link. I was doing this with an iPhone 6 running iOS 8.1.3. In the end, I had to wait until I got back to my computer to accomplish my goal but it would be really nice if I could do this with my phone in the future. Thanks for any suggestions.
