Using SIRI for things like seting an alarm, appointment or reminder is really where you benefit a lot. It's just so much easier to say "Set my alarm for 6 AM" or "Wake me up a 6 AM" than it is to unlock your phone, open the Clock app, go to the Alarm tab and do this manually. You can even ask her to show you the alarms you have and if you have one for 6 AM and you want it to be 7 AM just tell her "Change my 6 AM alarm to 7 AM".
As for reminders it is just as easy. "Remind me to..." For example, "Remind me to take the garbage out at 8 AM every Tuesday" will set a recurring reminder for this. Sometimes it' easier to do it in 2 steps, for example if I have a dentist appointment on April 15 at 10 AM and I want to set a reminder for the evening before, I do it this way: I activate SIRI and say "Set a reminder for April 14 at 8 PM" SIRI will then ask me what I want the reminder to say and beep again indicating that I can speak. I then say "Dentist appointment tomorrow morning at 10 AM". Then SIRI repeats it all back to me and asks if I want to create the reminder, I say "Yes" and it's done. If you Google "What can I say to SIRI" or "What can SIRI do" or stuff like that you'll find a ton of good articles with lots of examples and that information would be much more comprehensive than asking SIRI for help or "SIRI, what can you do" or whatever. Another awesome use of SIRI is for word definitions or Wikipedia lookups. You can say "Define" followed by the word you want defined or "Search Wikipedia for" followed by what it is you want to look up on Wikipedia. SIRI will most likely say that an article was found and ask if you want it read, say "Yes" and it will read a summary of the Wikipedia article. Yes, Google voice search does sometimes work better and pull up information where SIRI doesn't, but of course you can't do things like set alarms or turn iPhone features on or off. I usually try SIRI first and if I don't get what I want I try Google. Let's hope that part of the iOS 9 polishing and fixing which is expected to happen this year, SIRI will become a whole lot better. Ok i’ll do that. Does anyone know if you actually can set appointments with location and reminder from Siri or if you just set your appointment and go in and edit it afterwards? /Krister > 24 feb 2015 kl. 10:02 skrev RobH. <[email protected]>: > > Say "Help!", and she'll tell you.
