Andrew, Yes, you are correct that when your device is selected in iTunes and you have the Apps tab selected, there is a File Sharing section at the bottom. This lists the apps on your device where files can be added from the computer (the Add File button) or transferred from the device to the computer (the Save To button). In order to save files from the device to the computer, the app containing the file must have focus and you must then tab to the list of files it contains to select the one you want to save to the computer.
I use this section to transfer the KeePass database file which I maintain on my computer running Windows XP to my Mini KeePass app on my phone. This could also be done using Dropbox but I have a hesitancy to place my password files in the cloud even if they are encrypted. Voiceover says: "The apps listed below can transfer documents between your iPhone and this computer." And then to the right there's a table of apps that can share files with the computer and to the right another table which is empty and then an 'add' button. I guess one can choose here where such files when shared are to be downloaded onto one's computer? Is this right? I'd appreciate some comments on this. I don't quite know what else one would add here. Many thanks Andrew -- The following information is important for all members of the viphone list.
