I think it’s more of a limitation set by Apple. If I remember correctly a 
larger iOS update won’t download on cellular data. However, if apps give you 
the option to use cellular data, then at least Telus will not limit this. I 
have, for example, downloaded 500 Mb Audible books via cellular data and I am a 
Telus customer in British Columbia.

Hi Allan. Actually, part of your statement about installing a software update 
through cellular data isn't true. Not all carriers let you do that. For 
example, and maybe someone from Canada that uses the carrier Telus can confirm 
this, they only let you download up to 100 MB on the phone. If the software 
update or whatever you're downloading exceeds this limit, there will be a 
message saying that you need to connect to Wifi in order for the download to 
work.

The way I’ve always done my updating of the software on my iPhone or iPad 
hasbeen through my iPhone or my iPad.  It’s easier and totally accessible.

 

Settings, General, Software Update.  If your battery power is to low, you’ll be 
given a notification that you should charge your iPhone or iPad or connect to 
AC power or words to that effect.  There is no need to go through iTunes.

That has been happening to me during the last few updates. Disconnecting and 
re-connecting phone to PC has resolved- but once rebooting PC resolved and 
update suddenly showed up as installed, with no other action.

Hi, I had one little hiccup when updating. When my phone rebooted I was told 
that iTunes could not connect to this phone. I disconnected and re-connected 
the phone a few times, opened and closed iTunes with no success. I rebooted my 
computer and all worked well. This is evidently an anomaly, in that I have not 
heard of this happening to others. And, it now works. So, just a minor thing.

found in Safari. Braille sgreen input works on the address field in Safari, but 
not in other form fields One example would be on the national Library service
