There is indeed a PBS channel for the Apple TV, but you’re going to find standard programming. The few times I checked it out, I didn’t come across anything really local. NO audio described either.
Remember, you can also stream anything for your iOS device to the Apple TV as well in case you find more programming to your liking via the pBS iOS app or website in general.
