it depends as to what i want to do to determine what apps i use. but, i must admit, my most expensive gps apps is Adriane GPS, or however it spell. It was around $5. other than that, all my other apps are free. If i'm on the bus or on some one car, and only interested on my location, i'll use Adriane, or Wayz, or simply ask siri my location. If i need to go to an address, i'll use between Google Maps and Apple Maps itself. Both are good enough for what i need. If i need to know whats around me, some interesting POI, i'll use Swamp, or Facebook, or Around Me.
I have friends that use blindsquare and i have a day with it. I found that, with blindsquare, you generally need to pare it with another gps apps for it to work perfectly, or to get from point A to point B. in case of my friend, he uses blindsquare with Wayz. and, i also a believer on mainstreem apps. why pay the extra money for something that might be updated every 3 or 6 months or more, instead of something that will be upgraded regularly? But, in my all honesty, i believe that how well you can move around is also depending on how good you are, with your orientation and mobility skills, and how well you are in problem solving skills. All these gps apps might able to let you know where and how to get there with least troubles and least trefic, but, none of the apps can determine how well you travel, and, will there be any construction work on the footpath, or the building next door, where they might block off the footpaths around the building.
