Hi all, I’ve been using the NPR One app and, as others have said, am finding it quite accessible. I am confused on one aspect though, the slider at the bottom of the screen when a program is playing. The slider gives percentages which I assume means how much of the program has completed. What is confusing though is that voice over says adjustable, swipe up & down to adjust. There is already a rewind button so I’m not sure why one would want to decrease the percentage. And I’ve been totally unsuccessful at increasing the percentage complete or fast forwarding. Does someone know how to fast forward through a program? Or am I wrong as to the purpose of this slider?
Also, sometimes a button labelled interesting appears. I’m guessing one can click this if you like the program & the app will tend towards more programs of that type. Unfortunately this button does not show up all the time. Any ideas as to how this works? Is the button random? Thanks.
