thanks for that, I was originally thinking of the duet, but the quartet would 
be better. the main thing, is that in it's description, it mentions some 
additional touch pads, that the duet doesn't have, and I am a bit concerned 
that if they are like the touch screen, it would be all too easy to operate 
them with out wanting to.

  I have tried the duet, and the quartet uses the same interface. It is more 
accessible on the IPhone than on the mac. The most difficult thing is that you 
will have to press a wheel on on the apogee to switch between the channels. You 
do unfortunately not have a physical button on the apogee, the button you can 
use when you wants to turn it up or down goes round and round, so you can not 
be sure how it is set, unless you check it in the app. When that has been said 
I would say that it is useable. I think it is possible to learn to use the 
device. If anyone else has some experience please let us know.
