Hi Ed, I take it you are saying that this app is accessible in that it reads the BP reading to you? The other question I have is it battery operated or electric? I have to use a large cuff to go around my arm so is the cuff fairly large on this unit?
Thanks in advance for answering my question and any other suggestion you may have. Ed From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Edward Przybylek Sent: Saturday, March 28, 2015 5:12 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: Wireless blood pressure monitors from Apple store Hi, I’ve been using the QardioArm wireless blood pressure monitor for a couple of months now. The iOS app is fully accessible except for two pickers in the settings menu. One picker specifies the number of times to sequentially take a blood pressure reading and the other picker specifies the time interval between readings. I was able to set the values myself but it took a bit of effort. If you’re a more advanced VoiceOver user, you should be able to set these values on your own. If not, you’ll need some sighted assistance. Since the values only need to be set once, I don’t see this as a real problem. When I wrote to the company about the picker problem, they thanked me for contacting them and said they would address the problem in future software releases. The accuracy of the readings from the QardioArm is almost identicle to the readings I get from a fairly expensive Omron unit I own and the readings I get at my doctor’s office. I owned the iHealth wireless blood pressure monitor before the QardioArm monitor but I returned it after two weeks. The initial unit set-up is not at all accessible and the app’s user interface is very confusing and unfriendly. Good luck.
