Good suggestion, there may be another way. I don't know if this works in the latest iOS, but there have been times in the past when I didn't hear the caller ID and I simply toggled the mute switch off and on. When it came on again, it would give the caller ID again. I don't know if this was done 100% of the time, but it did work for me when I tried it.
