Hello Jim and Tim,

The WiFi enabled thermostat I have posted about recently can handle a
heatpump system. I don't know anything about the brand you mentioned so you
just have to ask your installer if it would work. There are 2 thermostats
available, here is what they say aout them on their website which, by the
way, is www.RadioThermostat.com. There is also a support link on the website
and I believe you can download the manuals there so you could give that to
your installer.

The CT30 is a sleek 7-day programmable thermostat with touch screen
controls.
.The CT30 works with nearly any HVAC system - including traditional furnaces
and heat pumps.
.Has a large screen with bright white back-light.
.Can control up to 2 stages of heat and 2 stages of cool.
.Can be programmed up to 4 independent periods per day.
.Backed by our 365-day a year call center if you have any trouble with your
installation
.You must have either power from the furnace ("C" or "Common" wire) or an
external transformer to power the thermostat in order to run the Wi-Fi
module.
Price: $139.95

The CT80 is a dynamic large display touchscreen thermostat with 7-day
programming capability.
.The CT80 works with nearly every HVAC system - including traditional
furnaces and heat pumps.
.Can control 3 stages of heat and 2 stages of cool allow for more precise
temperature regulation and less fluctuation with today's most sophisticated
HVAC systems.
.True Auto mode to switch automatically between heat and cool depending on
environmental factors.
.The CT80 can control an external air baffle.
.Can also control an external humidifier AND de-humidifier.
.You can program up to 7 independent periods per day.
.Can monitor and control your HVAC system based on humidity as well as
temperature.
.The CT80 is backed by our 365-day a year call center if you have any
trouble with your installation
.You must have either power from the furnace ("C" or "Common" wire) or an
external transformer to power the thermostat in order to run the Wi-Fi
module.
Price: $249.95

As you can see, one difference is that the CT80 can control 3 stages of heat
and 2 stages of cool whatever that means rather than just 2 stages of heat
and 2 stages of cool for the CT30. The CT80 mentions that it can also
control an external air baffle (don't know what that is) as well as an
external humidifier AND de-humidifier and as for programming it can do 7
periods per day and the CT30 can do 4 periods a day. As I said, your
installer will have to let you know if this will work, but from what they
say it should work with most systems.

Regards,
Sieghard
