For me, this bug is still active.
in some edition fields this problem is still present.
and in the spotlight is a disgrace...
can not use the spotlight for nothing.
I use an iPad 2 and this bug is the worst thing that can exist.
apple did not solve a one of the worst bugs, which to me is a very
serious bug...
cannot understand how this bug was not high on the list.

This double letter problem was very bad for me until this update. I'm
using an Apple keyboard and haven't seen any further occurrence in the
writing of one new contact last night. I'll try it some more to make

If you configure it in Settings > General > Accessibility >
Accessibility Shortcut, you can triple click the Home button to
toggle VoiceOver on or off. I have also seen this chracter repeat
bug, but I haven't yet done enough with a bluetooth keyboard (I
only just found I still have one) to figure out just what the
problem is or how to fix it. I'll try toggling VO to see if that
helps--thanks for the tip.
