Consumer Cellular is a MVNO using AT&T's infrastructure. You can learn a lot from their web site, for example, their page on phones at https://www.consumercellular.com/Info/Phones says

Your phone should either be a Consumer Cellular phone, a phone previously used with AT&T or T-Mobile, or an unlocked GSM phone

So you can either get an iPhone directly through Consumer Cellular or bring your current iPhone over from AT&T or T-Mobile.

I use Consumer Cellular and they are great. I can't answer whether you
can use your current phone as they were our first cell carrier.
But, they use GSM just like a t and t.
Just call them and ask. They are great to work with.

Does any one have their phone through this carrier? If so I would
like to know if they are pleased with it and if they switched from a
carrier such as AT&T to start using them, how easy that was.
I wonder if I could make this switch and keep the phone I have or
would i have to get a new phone.
Thoughts, if any, would be appreciated.
