Hi Louise,

Welcome to Sonos, hopefully you’ll love it as much as most of us who have
invested in it. I am going to try and answer your questions in your message:

1. Has anyone found the add services screen to be a bit inaccessible as
you cannot flick through the services?

Yes, you do have to drag your finger and use a 3-finger flick up or down to
change pages. It is a bit awkward and probably the least accessible part of the
app although it’s also not inaccessible. The good thing is that once your
services are set up you don’t usually have to go back unless you are adding a
new service, want to delete one or change the login credentials.

2. Can you only shuffle spotify playlists using the IPad as a controller
as I cannot find a shuffle button on the IPhone app anywhere?

That one I can’t answer since I don’t have an iPad and I only had a Spotify
subscription for a short time. The Spotify implementation inside the Sonos app
is extremely basic which I understand is not the fault of Sonos but a
restriction from Spotify and other music services, especially Deezer, are much
better on Sonos especially since I can get Deezer Elite with lossless streaming
through Sonos and pretty much all aspects of the service are available from
inside Sonos and accessible. I didn’t like how Spotify worked at all and also
found that here in Canada Deezer had way more content.

3. Is there a way for my partner to be able to search and play music
which is on my IPad using his IPhone or IPad? Similarly can I search and see
the music on my IPad using my IPhone? I do not have music match but have saved
music onto my IPad as it has more space than my phone. Or can I only search the
music on that particular device I am using?

Unless you have all your music also in a shared folder on a computer (which has
to be on of course) you can only see the music on the device you are using and
you can’t browse each other’s library. I find I rarely use the feature to
browse music on my device since I have all my music ripped in lossless FLAC
format to an external network attached hard drive. This way I can always access
all my music in the best possible quality from my iPhone or the PC Sonos
desktop controller without the need for my computer to be on and my wife can
access the same music from the Sonos app on her iPhone or iPod Touch as well.

Hope this helps,

Sieghard
