Richard, I have it already. It's not a cable. It is a plastic piece with a female lightning connector on one end and a male lightning connecter on the other. You obviously plug the microphone into the female connecter and plug the male end into the phone. It has two pieces. The second piece is something that goes around the male end and in a way, shortens the male end. It actually doesn't shorten it, it just places an object in the path. This is in case you have a shorter case and don't want the microphone just hanging out there in space on a thin piece of plastic. You take it off for cases that are thicker. And, by the way, I wish people hadn't started referring to plugs as male and female. But, I guess people get the picture. Neal
