I get by, but I'm no expert. I find that, once you touch an area, flicking usually becomes consistent in that area (shows list, ratings, etc). I also have to sometimes scroll with three fingers to get what VO is reading onto the screen before I can double tap and activate it. Finally, the screen sometimes silently changes, so tapping a show might result in options (like Play) that VO doesn't announce have appeared. Touching will help find them.
