I thought that plugging in my phone to the new machine would do it but it took the apps though in apps list view jaws says nothing in windows 8 so not sure but won’t take the music. Jen

It is called either music or my music. Goin there, and you’ll see an itunes folder. Copy that to a flash drive, and put it in the same place on your windows 8 laptop. Rerun iTunes, and it should hopefully detect it. I am not absolutely sure about the detection part, but I think it does. Its been years since I’ve had my music like that. I store my music on dropbox, that way iTunes will always have the exact copy, that is update to date. HTH. I have itunes and all my music and apps on my windows 7 desktop. I recently aquired a windows 8 lap top using jaws 16. I installed itunes and want to put my music library and all its contents from the desktop to the lap top then sync my devices. I plugged in phone first and it synced the apps but not the music. I got a message telling me if I synced my music with the current library it would all errace. How can I fix this? The same thing happened when I plugged in my iPad mini. Any help would be appreciated. Also, when I installed itunes I don’t see the apple software updates thing in my windows 8 start menu. Where would I find this?
