I would say thinking aout that is rather premature since news about a new iPod Touch are just rumours at this point. In the end you'll just have to wait until September and October to really find out what exactly Apple is going to release with respect to new iPhones, iPads and possibly an iPod Touch. One thing is for sure, Apple is forcing all developers to make their apps compatible with 64-bit architecture so a new iPod Touch will definitely get at least the A7 processor which is currently in the iPhone 5S and my guess is that it will get Touch Id and a better camera. I doubt it would become a Apple Pay device, though.
