I can confirm the same thing works on iphone 5s, just tried it... really

To do the trick is to ask Seri what the temperature is.
In the lower right hand corner pass the times of the day with the
temperature there is a weather channel button.
Click on the button that will open the internet or safari.
Once you open safari, hit the home button to close out of the net and
it takes you back to your home screen or back to the desktop as I like
to call it lol.
I have the Iphone 6+. Not sure if this will work on other phones.
I mean like the 5S and 6.
