1. Open the folder containing the messages app.
2. Double tap and hold on the messages app until VoiceOver says moving messages.
3. Slide your finger up until VoiceOver says “Outside extras folder, hold
finger for five seconds to close.” Hold your finger there until VO says
“Closing extras folder.
4. Now, I would suggest lifting your finger so that this next move can be
accomplished successfully.
5. If your home screen layout is still the default, meaning you have not moved
any apps around, the messages app will now be on page 2. Find it, and double
tap and hold as you did previously, until VO says “Moving Messages.” Slide your
finger to the left.
6. VO will say, “moving to page 1.” Wait for the sound, then lift your finger.
Messages should now be on your home screen again. Move it if you don’t like its
location by double tapping and holding, then sliding it to the appropriate
location.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the
characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between
blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not
what holds you back.
