Hi Max,

I guess it all depends on what you want to spend, but you would definitely want
something not too small in order to get good volume out of it. I quite like my
Turtleshell 2 speaker from Outdoor Technology. One good thing about that
speaker is that it is highly water resistant and dust proof which would be
important in your shop. I also do woodworking and have a shop in my basement
and while I have a good dust collector and air filter, it sometimes still does
get dusty. Having said that, I use my Sonos system to bring sound to my shop
and specifically I have a set of Logitech wired computer speakers with a
subwover connected to my Sonos Connect which is actually upstairs in my office,
but it happens to be basically right above my shop so it was quite easy to run
an RCA cable through a hole in the fllor and all I needed was a 12 foot cable.
This particular Logitech speaker setup has an inline volume control which I
mounted on the wall in my shop so I can easily walk up to it and set the volume
to whatever I want.
Anyhow, below are links to the Turtleshell 2 and the new Big Turtleshell from
Outdoor Tech on Amazon, but given the $229 price tag on the Big Turtleshell I'd
not recommend it because if you want to spend that much you'd be better off
getting into a Sonos Play 1 for $199 or a Play 3 for $299, much better sound
quality and all the options in the world when it comes to streaming free and
subscription based music and all with a fully accessible app.

Subject: Bluetooth Speakers

Hello all,
since purchasing a new router I am now able to stream music from my Mac to my
iPhone in my workshop. I could not do this with my old one.
What I would like now to connect to the phone is to find a Bluetooth speaker to
give me more volume in the shed.
I am not looking for top quality sound as it will be competing with woodworking
sounds etc.
I find the sound is a bit soft on the phone from the small speaker.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Max.Î
