I just signed up for the Southwest app. I entered my name, address, birthday, etc., everything but a confirmation number for an upcoming flight, and it automatically showed me as scheduled for that flight.
My question is how do I use this to get through the airport. I am assuming nothing happens until 24 hours before flight time when I check in on line. I have heard it said your boarding pass will show on the lock screen. Does it show after checking in? Do I just hit the power key to show the boarding pass or do I also have to tap Unlock. Or do I have to unlock the phone and open either the Southwest app or Passbook. I would guess it works the same no matter the airline. Thanks for clarifying how this works.
