First go to iCloud.com <http://icloud.com/>. 
Next sign in to iCloud with your apple ID and password. 
Next choose find my iPhone. 
 
Next choose all devices. 
After that if you are doing this on a mac vo right or left arrow until you get 
to wheir it says mat’s iPhone group. 
Then press vo command shift space twice.  
Next tab to the erase iPhone   button and then press vo space bar on it.
