>From Writer Help: When you run the app for the first time, you'll have the option to enable iCloud. This is an all or nothing decision: either all your documents are stored in iCloud or none. If you decide to use iCloud, your documents will be synchronized across all your devices that have iCloud enabled. If not, all your files will be locally stored on a single device only. A word of warning: iCloud has improved a lot since it was launched but it still has hiccups. This is especially true if your Internet connections are slow and sporadic. We suggest that if you have multiple Apple devices, you should enable iCloud, because its benefits outweigh its problems. Particularly if you run Yosemite on a Mac, which can see all the files in Voice Dream Writer. But be patient when issues arise. When you create a document, it will be saved locally in the Voice Dream Writer folder. And if you enabled iCloud, it'll synched to iCloud in addition to saving locally so that if you don't have internet connection, you can still work locally. Don't worry about saving. Your edits are saved automatically.
As Christopher said, you are prompted for a file name when you first create a document. If you don't name it, you probably won't find it. If you enabled iCloud,, and something went wrong with it, you may have lost the file. If you only have one device, then try Christopher's suggestion to go to iCloud settings and turn off VoiceDream Writer.
