Ok so I'm looking for audio ducking now and am not finding it; where is it
in the settings menu?

Hi Paul,
Audio ducking is when music or other audio you're listening to gets quieter
when VoiceOver is speaking. This happened automatically until iOS 8, but in
iOS 8 you can turn the feature on or off.

Sometimes I think it has a lot to do with that audio ducking you may have
to make sure that it is off
