Yep, you could be right. It's a bit of an annoying though for sure and does
slow down working with the rotor for me. I noticed also that sometimes my
rotor sound stops working even though I haven't changed the sounds setting at
all.

Oh well, a new phone soon, me thinks! <Smiles>

BSI always waits to the right. If you're on character, or headings, or
anything else and you enter a text field or webpage, BSI is a clockwise rotor
turn away. This is done for convenience, making it as quick and seamless as
possible to switch into braille when you want to start typing.

I wonder if the problem you're running into is when exiting BSI? My main
annoyance right now is that VoiceOver says "portrait" if you exit BSI and are
not in landscape mode. This overrides the rotor selection announcement, so even
though the rotor turned successfully, you only hear "portrait" and not the item
you just rotored to. I'm wondering, then, if that is happening to you and you
feel you have to rotor around even more to figure out what you landed on?

    Hi all,

I'm experiencing some difficulty in moving to items on the rotor and wonder
if anyone else is having the same problem.

I'm still using a 4S but am an experienced user. However, with the
increase of items on the rotor, I'm finding it more difficult to get to various
items. I think the problem appears when I'm passing the onboard Braille
keyboard. I can understand that the phone is trying to work out if I'm about to
use it or not and therefore there's a conflict, and perhaps this is more
defined with the use of the 4S.

Anyway, I'd like to hear from others on this.

I have wanted to place the onboard keyboard in a different position on the
rotor to try to alleviate this problem but find it just doesn't work. It
always seems to want to end up between the characters and word settings,
regardless of where I attempt to move it.

I don't exactly feel I need to report this to Accessability but would
certainly do so if others have this difficulty.
