Hi there, Actually, they figure google would rather create their own app so they can include those advertizements before videos play. Many believe that part of the deal between apple and google to have youtube preloaded had a clause that prevented google from doing this until now. So if anyone was preventing pesky ads, it was actually apple.
I also can't blame apple for not wanting to rely so much on a competing company. Android phones don't use safari as their web browsers, etc... so why should apple be held to using google for their services? Google will have an app ready to go by the time IOS 6 comes out, I'm sure -- they'd be stupid not to considering all the revenue they'd lose by not having an iPhone app ready to go. In my opinion, this is kind of a non-issue. You'll only have to make a one-stop visit to the app store, download the new youtube app and all will be right with the world again. -Marc On 8/7/12, Eileen Misrahi <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello List, > > I just finished reviewing the tech news on the BBC app and "You Tube" is > not > included in the new IOS6 release slated in the fall.
