It's a little box that is meant for if you're plugging something into a tv that doesn't give you the other inputs you need. With this box, you get RCA outputs, so I just ran a patch cord into my audio mixer. If you just get an HDMI cable, plug that from the Apple TV into this box, you're good to go with RCA outputs.
