For those having trouble using the native mail app for groups, open A to Z Contacts. Get to the screen with the store on it. Flick right with one finger, or use the rotor on headings and flick down to "group messages." Now, flick right with one finger until you hear "Email Lists." Double Tap. Now, flick to the "add Email list" button and double tap. Then, flick to your group and double tap.
Now, exit the app and go to your native mail app and compose a message and put part of the group name in the to field. As you flick to the matches, you will find one that says: GroupName A2Z Email list. I just created a test list called test to write down all these steps and so what I have when I type "tes" in the to field is a match that says: "test A2Z Email List."
