Not really.
You can't walk indipendently in a place you don't know at all without
sighted assistance. You have to know the general route at least a little.
That said, there's RNIB Navigator, Ariadne GPS, Blind Square and
Navigon. Pick your poison as all of them are pretty good at what they do.
