What does this have to do with iPhones or this thread?

Thunderbird, which I use on both Linux and Windows, works just as you describe, so this isn't an issue with the operating system or the platform. You're more than welcome to dump an operating system for whatever reason you want, but don't forget Windows 8 and now Windows 10 are much newer versions of Windows with a much improved user experience. Also, how many people would be regretting their decision to swear off Apple products if they'd jumped to the same conclusion back when Apple had no accessible products? My advice is to keep your options open.

I'm to busy trying to reinstall windows live mail on my laptop. With iOS and
Earthlink being a well known internet provider, iOS just asks for my user name
and password and nicely toddles off to go look up the server settings and
installs them for me. Like I said before, that windows 7 64 bit laptop is my
last windows computer. I think I have one last SMA with Window-Eyes and then,
their gone too. I spent half the day yesterday trying to setup the email
cliant manually. I've got the incoming server configured correctly to recieve
mail, it's the SMTP server tthat's making me pull out my hair!

Hi, how do you deal with pop-up buttons on the iPhone using voice over?
I have an iPhone six, and several other website I like to visit have Papa
buttons to select category options or other things. It says papa button double
tap to choose picker item. I don't understand how to select something once I've
done that.
