Is it possible she bend it? Last year some rocks rolled out from under my feet when I was taking my dog for a walk and I fell on my behind. Unfortunately I happened to have my 5S in the back pocket of my shorts and sat on it. It bend and the same thing happened, there was a gap all along the top edge where the screen had separated from the frame. The phone still worked fine and fortunately I bought Apple Care. A few weeks later when I was in Vancouver I walked into an Apple Store, paid the $79 and had it replaced.
