Good parents usually raise good kids but sometimes, good parents did everything right and one or more kids didn't measure up to expectations. It's called free will. I was lucky. I never wanted to do anything else other then to play music professionally. I traveled on the road with a band, played as a soloist in lounges and restaurants, did a stent playing with a keyboard in an old folks retirement community. The last one was because they offered me 65 bucks an hour to come in on Friday nights for a couple of hours. That was in 2003 or so. Today as my memory goes downhill, I forget more and more songs but I still practice every day in an attempt to retain as much of it as I can.
