The 4S was made with both CDMA and GSM capabilities. If I remember correctly,
the only problem might have been with switching to the Sprint CDMA network.
Whereas you could hop among AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon without issues. You
could always double check network compatibility with the IMEI or ESN.

Subject: using iPhone 4s on verizon

Hello,
I have an unlocked iPhone 4s that I have been using on a gsm system. I want to
give it to someone who is using verizon. I understand that vz is now using sim
cards. Would this 4s work on verizon?
Thanks very much.
