I use the app A 2 Z Contacts. It allows you to divide your contacts into groups. Once you do this, you can choose to look at all of your contacts, or just one or more groups.
You create your groups within the A 2 Z contacts and assign each contact to a group. A 2 Z inter grates itself with your contacts app, so when you make a change in the A 2 Z app, it also makes the change in your contacts. The buttons in the app are labeled a little wierd, but mostly you can tell what they do. You can choose to label the buttons if you want, but the developer is suppose to be correcting all of this in the next update.
