Hi,

If you can program it's actually fairly easy to make your own
solution; I wrote a web interface for my tv using a Raspberry Pi
connected to our wireless network and a USB infrared transmitor.
Unfortunately the project didn't receive approval so I wasn't allowed
to put the Pi near enough to the TV to make it work, but from a code
point of view it was just PHP to generate the interface & LIRC to send
the IR signals. Setting it up got quite involved but the coding could
comfortably be done in a day.
FYI I used this
http://www.iguanaworks.net/products/usb-ir-transceiver/ transmitor
although it was a while ago so other, more cost effective options may
be available.

Cheers,
Ben.
