I think the new tab is just a showcase of new songs they put up there.

Hi Lori. What you're seeing are the new tabs for the new Apple Music service.
I'll try to explain what they do. The "For You" tab brings up suggested songs
and artists that Apple thinks you may like based on your preferences. The "New"
tab, I'm not sure, but I think it lets you customize your own playlist. The
"Radio" tab is what it says. There you can listen to Apple's built-in radio
station, Beats 1 and other hand crafted stations. Finally, the "Connect" tab
lets you chat with your favorite artists as well as it lets you put your own
music you make on Apple Music. HTH.
