Hi,

Most, if not all keyboard have keys that control media playback, as well as a 
host of other iOS functions. As far as being able to use the iPad in portrait 
mode in the case, not a lot of them provide that feature. You’ll need to do 
some research and compare the features of each case to see if it says anything 
about multiple viewing angles that allow you to use portrait mode.
As a side note, even if the screen is forced into that mode because of an 
iPhone app that’s not native to the iPad, VoiceOver commands will still 
function as normal with no loss in functionality.
