Hi, Thanks so much for all this information. It was most helpful. I did have to go and turn off hidden file types as I'm using windows 7, and thought I had the problem solved after that. I was able to rename the file and it went into the proper tones folder in iTunes, but when I went to sync the ring tone, it would not sync to the phone. I tried several times but it did not work. Any thoughts? I have an iPhone 6 and I am using the latest version of Itunes with all the changes to apple music. Wendy
