Paula, To add an item to your shopping list double tap add. If you flick to the right you will see two edit boxes, one is for the item and the other is for the quantity. Double tap the one that says item so you can enter in the item. After each item you enter click done at the bottom right hand of the screen. To get back to the shopping list itself click the name you selected for your shopp[ing list at the top of the screen. You will now be able to see the items you entered. Double tap each item as you get them. When you want to claear them, tap the action button in the upper left-hand corner of the screen and tap clear all items then tap done. What I like about this app is that it remembers all of the items that i have typed so I don't have to enter them again. When you need the items again, double tap add and flick to the right and you will see all of the items you have previously entered. Just double tap the items you want and they will be added to your list. I hope this helps.
