So does that work consistently for you to know, Rose?

I have used Light Detector to see how many lights the battery pack has on.

Not Alan, but i use the first method you mentioned. Unless you have one of
those talking chargers, I don’t know what else you would do.

  So Alan,

With your battery pack, do you just go by recalling how many times you have
charged your phone and recharge the pack after that, or do you have another
method for knowing when to plug your pack back into the AC.

I have the Anker Astro E1 5200mAh Ultra and like many of the smaller Anker
external batteries, this one uses a series of four blue LED lights to indicate
its charging status. Although this approach is not at all accessible, all you
have to do is find out the charging time for a full cycle and keep track of how
long you've had the external battery plugged in. It will charge faster when
connected to an adapter plugged into a wall outlet as opposed to a computer's
USB port. The nice thing about these Anker models is that when they are fully
charged, they will automatically shut down. They also automatically turn on
when your device is connected to them for charging.

The talking battery pack is an option if you don't need too much capacity. It
wasn't sufficient for me when doing a lot of international travel, so I got a
20000 MHA Anker battery pack. That has an LCD displaying the percentage of
charge. TapTapSee reads it for me every time.

I'm curious. How do you all know if your battery pack has enough juice in
it or is done charging? I got one on a whim and, while I can just see the
little lights that indicate the power level in the pack, I'm guessing I'll need
a different battery pack when I eventually upgrade my phone and wonder how you
handle this. It was totally by fluke that mine has really bright little lights
that I can get into my tunnel vision, but if the lights were red or some other
kind of indicator, I don't think I could figure it out.
