A list member recently mentioned to me his solution to the iOS 8.4 iBooks
problem.
He is using an app called Bookmobile. Bookmobile is a dedicated audio book
and podcast player. It is designed for the true audio book enthusiast.
According to the list member, it takes some time to get familiar with the
somewhat unusual interface, but this solution features everything he needs:
sleep timer, playback speed, navigation controls, chapter support,
bookmarks, etc. Moreover, it is not necessary to copy the audio books into
the app as bookmobile can access ibooks and podcast data.
While it is free for evaluation, the price for the full version is $3.99.
