I had one heck of a time getting my 4S working again recently, having not used it as a Braille display for some while and having upgraded various in the meantime.

Oh, I couldn't pair it quickly enough. ...

Then, every time I got errors (which were many) I had to reboot the phone and hard reset the Braille Sense ...

You are going to Settings, General, Voice-Over and Braille and not trying to add a keyboard? <Smiley>?>

Anyway, having got things working, I can understand now what people were saying months back about how bad the Braille terminal was once IOS 8 came along. So far, I'm still not satisfied with things but looking for something that works.

Subject: using a Braille Sense with an Ipad mini

Hi all, I have been having the hardest time getting my Braille Sense to connect to my iPad mini. I had ios 8.2 on it, and it wouldn't connect, it kept getting the error, "Braille sense is not supported." When I updated to 8.4 to try it out and see how I like it before updating my iphone, it still wouldn't connect and still says, "Braille sense is not supported." Am I not doing something right, or is the braille sense really not supported on the mini? I even got one error message that was a little different that said, "Please make sure Braille Sense is turned on and ready to pair," or something very similar to that. So, given that I have received 2 errors, I figure it may not be that the braille sense is not truly supported, but maybe it's just not seeing it. It asks for my pin code correctly and all, but after that, it doesn't recognize the pairing and gives me those errors. How can I rectify this? My apple keyboard is the only thing I can use with it right now, being that I can't pair my braille sense. Does it matter at all that I also have my braille sense paired with my iphone too? Do I have to unpair or forget it on my phone before it will work with my iPad? I even turned off bluetooth on my phone to see if it would help my Ipad recognize it, but that didn't seem to do anything.
Thanks all, Kerri
