Once it is downloaded to your phone, you can always delete it afterword.

Yes, I know I can purchase on my Mac and it will not automatically download to 
my phone. That is already what happens. What I want it is not possible. That 
is, use the phone to make a purchase, without downloading it locally on the 
phone. Oh well.
