Most likely so, I had this happen twice. If you use the Earpods a lot they do experience wear and tear and may develop a short. One time especially I remember being on a long flight bacvk from the Philippines and I’d listen to an audio book for long hours. Sometimes the book just stopped playing when I moved around a bit or I paused it in order to go to the washroom and next thing I notice it started playing again. I called Apple to get the Earpods replaced (if you have Apple Care they are covered and you can get a free replacement) and the problem went away. I guess you can first test this simply by disconnecting the Earpods to see if the problem persists, but I bet it will go away. Hello Folks, Has anyone experienced this! Music starts playing without even touching the screen. Sometimes it comes even when on a phone call. It is iPhone six plus using iOS 8.4.1.
