If I had a reason to deal with textbooks, I would try to answer this. I don’t.
I’d suggest writing [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> And see what he says. I think the curve in the middle of large books is as much a camera and app processing limitation as anything. If the text is going at an angle, it is going to be difficult for any app to process the text correctly. That would be a good argument for taking extra thick books to someplace like Office Depot, Kinko’s, or some other copying service that also does binding and have the book converted to spiral binding.
