Thanks for your thoughts, Sieghar. At first glance Evernote looks like a really useful app. I got past the initial screens on my iPhone, went through the sign up and even installed the windows version on my laptop. When I attempted to sign in there, that was when I hit a wall. The application gave me the opportunity to register, but since I had already done that and could find no way to simply sign in with the account I already had, I quickly got discouraged. I uninstalled the app from both my laptop and my phone and will keep searching for a more accessible alternative.
