Mary and all,

I think you will find that the battery life lives up to what Apple claims
after all.

I put my music on shuffle and started it playing Saturday afternoon at 2:30.

Sunday morning at 9:00 I switched to an audible book for a 45 minute drive.

I powered off the touch.

At noon, I went back to the audible book for another 50 minutes and powered
off the touch.

At 2:30 PM I put it back on music.

While playing audio the touch has been locked.

At this point, it has run a little more than 33 hours and the battery gage
says 14 percent.

The battery drain is much higher if you are actively using it. But,
clearly, it you are primarily using it for playing audio and can lock it
while it plays, it has very good battery life.

I had not done this kind of text until now.

Richard
